Making his Perth debut, Stephen K Amos is bringing his unique brand of comedy to the Perth International Comedy Festival in 2012. After sell-out seasons of The Best Medicine across Australia in 2011, the great Stephen K Amos will return to the country with his new show Laughter is My Agenda. Full of life observations and hilarious stories, this show will be bursting with Stephen's special brand of melt-in-the-middle comedy.

Amos has charmed and entertained audiences all over the world with his easy, relaxed style, intelligent wit and honest warm-hearted joie de vivre. The last few years have seen Stephen steadily become a household name by performing all over Australia and appearing on Thank God You're Here, Spicks & Specks, The Melbourne Comedy Festival Gala & Great Debate and Good News Week. In the UK he has recently starred in BBC One's dance-off for Sport Relief, appeared regularly on The One Show and The Wright Stuff (C5) and been a guest on Have I Got News For You (BBC One). He made his mark with a hilarious set at The Royal Variety Performance (ITV) and triumphed on Live At The Apollo (BBC One). He has also been seen as Cracker Sauceribs in the BAFTA-nominated Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle (BBC2), his own Channel 4 documentary Batty Man was also nominated for a BAFTA and he made it to the finals of Last Comic Standing (Paramount). He has also developed a keen interest in food and cookery following his hilarious contribution to Celebrity Masterchef (BBC2).

As a gifted actor, Amos has impressed audiences and critics with his performances on stage and screen, and has shown not only a gift for comedy but also for more serious roles. He played Sir Benjamin Backbite in RB Sheridan's farce The School For Scandal at the 2010 Edinburgh Festival, alongside Lionel Blair, Marcus Brigstocke and Phil Nichol, and he appeared in the West End and Edinburgh run of One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, alongside Christian Slater.
